    Retrieving information from PanelView 1000

Good evening everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. Currently we use the PanelView 1000 screens to operate our Robot Welders. Our factory has a very limited IT department. Most of these screens were setup by our sister company. Currently they are maintained by our Weld Techs and maintenance department. They are not currently connected to our actual WLAN or even lan. They all have their own internal network with generic 192.168.x.x addresses (most of them the same) I am one of the operators and have this question. Is there a way to remotely access the panel view screens to pull of the Total Parts value on an hourly basis. I have an IT background and wanted to setup an application that would poll the various machines to grab the part counts. Before I go to the higher ups, I wanted to see if this is possible or not. I just didn't know how this would be accomplished, before presenting the idea. Thanks in advance for any input.

Is it really an old black PanelView 1000?

If it is, then no, you'd need to get the info from the PLC using a reporting package like XLReporter, or a HMI/SCADA package like FactoryTalk View.

If it's a PanelView Plus, then it depends on the model and firmware, and two options are available - VNC and Viewpoint:
    - https://theautomationblog.com/using-...anelview-plus/
    - https://theautomationblog.com/what-is-viewpoint/

Probably best to get the part number off of the PanelViews and ask the question to a local integrator - you'd likely need them for a few hours to set everything up.

    Good luck!
