    52h error on micrologix 1500

This problem began with the system going into a fault that would not stay cleared. I am trying a new base and I have an error code 52h, "base minimum series selected in program configuration was greater than the series on the actual base'. I didn't buy the replacement but can I make it work with the PLC? I understand there are A, B, and C bases. Can they all work with my PLC module? Where do I change the configuration?

    Good afternoon @jimmackey

In RSLogix, open the I/O configuration and click on "Adv Config" - that's where you change the base for the 1500.

I honestly don't think changing the series of the base will affect your code - you can basically put any letter in there and nothing changes - I think you'll find the series change on the base is just to indicate that internally it is different. With my 1500 I've never looked at it - I left it a the default of Series A.

    Hope this helps,
