    Great blog post!

Is there a way to configure the vnc server on an PanelView Plus 7 HMI to allow view-only access with no password required and remote write access only when a password is entered?

    Good morning @catherine.vanderwa,

    Thank you for your comments!

I'm not in front of my PVP right now, but I do believe if you enable both, but only put a password in for the write access it will work, but I'm not sure if they can have the same username?

    Sincerely,

    VNC through multiple ENBT cards

Hello, thanks for the post and the information. I have several panelview displays that require me to drill through several 1756-ENBT cards to finally reach the display. Is there a way to VNC into a display in this fashion? Say the first ENBT card is 10.220.43.34, the second ENBT card is 10.10.10.20, which allows me to finally access the panelview at 10.10.10.42 . How would you set up the path in your VNC viewer?

Thanks for any answer you may be able to provide.

    Good morning @Matthew Adkins,

If my memory is right, the only traffic that is routed between Rockwell network cards (like the ENBT) is CIP packets, so neither VNC nor Web pages can be reached through them.

Some PVP's do accept a second Ethernet card just for this reason - so you can access them via a second network connection.

    Hope this helps,
